MEN’S HEALTH WEEK: WHAT 15 MINUTES A DAY CAN DO FOR YOUR HEALTH

When we talk about improving our health, it’s easy to think it requires a massive effort – hours at the gym, strict meal plans, or overhauling our entire lifestyle. But the truth is, small, consistent actions each day can make a big impact. Just 10 to 15 minutes a day is enough to start feeling better, moving more, and building habits that actually stick.

Why Men’s Health Matters

Men across Australia face rising rates of stress, inactivity, and preventable health conditions. Many of us put our health last – we’re too busy, too tired, or too unsure of where to begin. But here’s the thing: you don’t need to wait for something to go wrong to start making a positive change. Taking care of your health both physical and mental isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about doing something.

What You Can Do in Just 15 Minutes

Men’s Health Week: Tips from Jason, Health Club Manager a BlueFit Health Club Manager

In support of Men’s Health Week, Jason has shared some simple practical ways men can take better care of their physical and mental wellbeing.

According to Jason, you don’t need fancy equipment or a structured training program to make a positive impact. Just a few small steps each day can go a long way in improving overall health and feeling more in control.

Here are Jason’s top suggestions:

The Warm Up

  • Mobility Stretch (each side for 30 seconds)
  • Frog Squats (30 seconds)
  • Wall slides (30 seconds)
  • Mountain Climbers (30 seconds)

The 10-15 minute workout

  • Slow Weighted Squat (10 reps x 3)
  • Push Ups (45 seconds OR 10 reps x 3)
  • Pull Ups (10 reps x 3)
  • Lunges (10 reps x 3)
  • Weighted lunges (10 reps x 3)
  • Burpees (45 seonds)

Jason encourages all men to use Men’s Health Week as a reminder to prioritise their health, even in small ways. A few minutes of effort each day can build lifelong habits that support better physical and mental wellbeing.

Health Is More Than Just Fitness

At BlueFit Health Club, we see health as a whole picture goal. That means supporting our members to move well, feel strong, stay connected, and build habits that last. Whether you're joining a class, working out solo, or just popping in for a stretch, every little bit counts.

Build a Routine That Works for You

You don’t need a perfect routine or a rigid schedule. Just start where you are, and aim for consistency over intensity. Over time, those 15-minute sessions can lead to noticeable changes in how you feel, move, and show up each day.

Let’s Keep It Simple

Health doesn’t have to be hard. A little time, a bit of movement, some fresh air, or a quick check in with yourself can all go a long way.

Start small. Keep going. Feel better.
